Chapter Summary: Kaitlin goes to see her mother at work, after lunch, to find the secretary (Rick) tell her she went to see her father in prison. She later went home,and at that time her mother was home in her room. The family ate supper together and told about theirday. Kaitlin said she had met a boy named Bram, and her mother told her news, their father was coming home. The next day she talked to Bram for the first time, and he showed her the beginning of a picture that he sketched of her.
Setting:Kaitlin's house and school.
Characters: Kaitlin, Bram, Abby, her mother, and Rick.
Character Developpement: Kaitlin is still very shy, but has a new friend, and thinks she might like him. Kaitlin is starting to feel like she is a real 17 year old. A normal kid.
Quote: "It's your father," shesaid. "He is coming home." This quote is very important because their father is fanally going to comehome. Everything will change,he doesn't know his daughters are going to their enemies, the Crutchfiels, school,and alot of other things he will soon find out.
